The base of the lamp was created in 1982 in the USSR from natural wood (Maple) and cast aluminum parts. This tripod was used for geodetic measurements.
When she came into my hands, it didn’t look attractive - the wood was processed using old technologies and didn’t carry aesthetic character at all.
It was decided to completely restore every detail - all aluminum parts were cleaned and re-painted, it was necessary to fiddle with wooden elements for a long time and clean very old and strong paint by hand. The legs at the base were slightly modified so as not to scratch the floors.
As a result, it was possible to reveal the natural beauty of wood and preserve all the factory details of the structure.
The wood was processed by professional means of protection from natural oils with dark cinnamon pigment, it turned out a very harmonious combination with matte metallic details.
To install the geometric luminaire, a slight modification of the base was required and we were able to install the brass cartridge and fastening system that we developed and created from high-quality materials specifically for a variety of complex tasks.
The brass cartridge has two clamping rings with the help of which you can easily install the cover, it is very convenient when you need to take care and clean the cover from dust.
To adjust the level of illumination on the black wire installed dimmer, it allows you to perfectly adjust the level of brightness and create the necessary atmosphere. It is also possible to have a completely dim brightness, only a spiral will be visible - this is very effective at night.
Pentakis geometric dodekakhedron cover is a semi-correct polyhedron (catalan body), dual to a truncated icosahedron. Composed of 60 identical acute angled isosceles triangles.
This figure has 60 faces, 90 edges and 32 vertices.
Pentakis Dodekakhedron belongs to the Icosahedral Symmetry Group.
The chandelier is made with incredible accuracy and perfect symmetry!
The intersections of the lines create an incredible symmetry and asymmetry within which light and glare spread throughout the chandelier creating an amazing pattern.

Over time, the chandelier will become covered with dust and you will need to wash it. To do this, we recommend choosing a comfortable place in the bath and preparing a plane with a soft cloth there so that the figure stands steadily. Use hot water and regular dishwashing detergent all components must not contain abrasives and the sponge must be special for glass as you can leave small scratches on the glass or damage the color of the chandelier. Wipe dry with a soft cloth after washing. Perform all actions without pressure and when not holding on to an open area or one glass, use two hands when washing and transporting the chandelier.
